Piccolo Giro di Lombardia 2019: here are the 32 teams invited

Only a few days to go until the 91st Piccolo Giro di Lombardia, the classic of international cycling for the Under 23 category scheduled in Oggiono (Lecco) on Sunday 6 October 2019.

The event organized by Velo Club Oggiono, as always, will recall on the Lombard roads the best of world cycling at Under 23 category. With the adrenaline still in the body for the World Championship in Yorkshire that delivered the Under 23 workd champion jersey to the Italian Samuele Battistella, we are preparing to experience a new exciting challenge on the roads of Brianza that for so many riders knows so much about revenge. The new world champion has also been announced.

The meeting for the preliminary operations and the verification of the licenses is scheduled from 8.00 am in the headquarters of the Bank BCC Brianza and Laghi in via Lazzaretto 15 / A in Oggiono. From 10.30 am the presentation of all the participating teams in Piazza Manzoni. The official start will be given in Viale Vittoria at 11.55.

In total the competitors will have to travel 176 km, drawn between the provinces of Lecco, Como, Monza Brianza and Bergamo. The protagonists of Lombardia baby will have to face the climbs of Bevera, Sirtori, Madonna del Ghisallo (754 altitude, the competition's roof). In the final passages on Colle Brianza (going up to an altitude of 588) and Marconaga di Ello will be decisive. Arrival is in Viale Vittoria around 4.15pm.

Meanwhile, the organizing committee announces the official list of the 32 teams invited to the competition of which 19 foreign and 13 Italian.
