LOMBARDIA U23. VICE-WORLD CHAMPION MORGADO AND RAFFERTY CHALLENGE SEGAERT

If the boys of Lotto Dstny Devo with Alec Segaert, winner of the last edition, are the favourites for the Lombardia U23, also the 'Americans' of the Hagens Berman Axeon formation directed by Axel Merckx, son of the great Eddy, can have their say, thanks to the vice world champion the Portuguese Antonio Morgado and the Irishman Darren Rafferty, who won the Giro della Valle d'Aosta. The vice-world champion is certain to do well, and after Glasgow, he aims to win the race in Oggiono, being able to count on the collaboration of Rafferty and teammates Tavares, Andersen and Drage.

For Sunday 1st October everything is ready for the 95th edition of LombardiaU23, start and arrival in Oggiono, with the climbs to Ghisallo, from the toughest slope of Bellagio, followed by Villa Vergano-Colle Brianza (14% gradient) and the final surge of Marconaga di Ello (km 1.800) just 5.2 km from the nosedive towards the finish line. In all, it is 170 kilometres. The start meeting is set at the new Velo Club Oggiono headquarters in Via Papa Paolo IV, no. 5 at 8.00 am. Unofficial start at 11.55 am. Transfer of 1700 metres for the official start. Arrival in Viale Vittoria in Oggiono (Lecco). The race will be streamed live on tuttobiciweb, CiclismoLive and on the TV station Teleunica-Lecco (channel 75 of the digital terrestrial) starting at 2.30 p.m.
